A sailor on the left and a soldier on the right are beside a flag pole. Pictures and words fill the centre of the image between the two flags.

This is an historical design for the Australian Commonwealth flag competition on 31/03/1901. The man on the horse is Lord Roberts. It was designed to commemorate Australia’s United Federalcy. The artist was Arthur Noble Wills. The Lithographer was G.B.H. Austin. Library Record Number: 975186. Accession Number: H34121.
