HISTORY

John White emigrated from Ireland with members of his family in 1856, and after several years working in the area, bought land in what is now Tyabb, and established a farming property. This was developed and passed down through his family. Mary Agnes was the second child and first daughter of John and Anne White, and was born in 1878. She was reputed to be the best horsewoman on the Mornington Peninsula and became a teacher, but died in 1911.
