HISTORY

This man is Arthur Woodley. The two name boards were made by him for the Port of Melbourne Authority at Stony Point. The correct style of WESTERN PORT replaces the old WESTERNPORT style.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a man standing behind two large wooden signs, smiling for the camera. He is wearing a grey cardigan, a beanie and a check shirt. He has grey hair and moustache. The sign is his right hand reads: “Port of Western Port” and the sign in his left hand reads: “Port of Westernport”. A hose and hose reel are on the wall behind him and a small pine tree is on his right. In the second photo the man is standing in front of a car port that contains two motor vehicles. A shed is to his left.
