HISTORY

This is the Hastings War Memorial which, in 1935, was located near Church Street, Hastings, where the Bowling Club is now situated. It now stands on Marine Parade opposite the council chambers. This photograph comes from the Doug Mentiplay Collection and the Walter Steer Collection.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a monument standing on open ground surrounded by a post and wire fence. A tree can be seen behind the memorial.
