HISTORY

These men are standing in front of the BP Refinery at Crib Point. Printed on the back of the photograph in red biro is: “BP Refinery Western Port Crib Point shortly after commissioning late 1966 Two consecutive Refinery managers Mr Clarke centre & Les Ogden to his left.” The photographers details are stamped in black and read as follows: “Metlab. Photographic Illustrators 73 Mark St., Nth. Melbourne Telephone 30-3483, 30-3359 30-3668 Neg. No..................”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows five men standing in front of a refinery, smiling and looking up. They are all wearing suits and hard hats. The man second from the left is wearing a rain coat and the man second from the right, is pointing upward. Across the top of the image are three X written in blue biro. Printed in white on the black border at the top is: “LH2490-3”. The edges of the photograph have been roughly cut.
