HISTORY

These wheels are at “Bushy Park”, the Hodgins property on Graydens Road, Hastings. The following is written on the back of the photo in blue ink: “On Hodgins property Graydens Rd Hastings May 1980”. Henry Hodgins bought “Bushy Park” in 1908. Over the years the orchard was extended to 60 acres with the remainder of the 125 acre property running beef cattle. In 2008 the Hodgins Family celebrated the century-long ownership of “Bushy Park”.

DESCRIPTION

These three images shows two wagon wheels underneath cypress trees. A tree trunk has grown up through the spokes of one wheel. The other wheel lies broken and pieces of a wagon lie on the ground.
