HISTORY

This jetty and fishing shed are at Hastings on the Western Port. The jetty was built in 1864 and the shed in 1866. They both played an important part in the local fishing industry on the Western Port.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a line of seven wooden fishing boats beside a wooden jetty. The photo is taken from the water looking back to land. A small shed is on the jetty and other buildings can be seen on the shore. Fishing nets are hanging over the top rail of the jetty.
