HISTORY

This house belonged to the Goss family. It was called “Arcadia” and was in High Street, possibly on the corner of Alfred Street. The home was originally owned by the Prosser family. This photograph comes from the Goss Collection.

DESCRIPTION

This low-set house has a steep sloping iron roof with a closed-in verandah on right-hand side and a high gable on the left. A brick chimney can be seen behind the gable. A white picket fence runs along the front of the property and a trellis is behind the small front gate. A large tree is on the far right-hand side and a footpath is in the foreground.
