HISTORY

This is the Lothian house. Thomas Lothian came out to Australia from Scotland in the late 1800s. He married Ester Kerr in 1873 at Hastings. Their children were all born in the Tyabb district. They were a fishing family.

DESCRIPTION

This faded image shows two people and two small children, standing in front of a wooden picket fence on the footpath, posing for a photo. A small timber cottage with a four posted verandah is behind the fence. The children are exactly the same size and look like twins.
