HISTORYThis is the Mornington Pier and the photograph comes from the Arthur Woodley Collection.
DESCRIPTIONThis sepia portrait photograph shows three fishing boats tied to a wooden jetty. The sea is choppy and waves are breaking over the left-hand side of the jetty. A motor vehicle is standing beside the jetty and a small up-turned boat is lying on the jetty. A very tall pole holding three lights is at the start of the jetty. A sign on the jetty reads: “Permit vehicles only beyond this point”. Land is in the background and deep potholes are in the foreground. The boat in the foreground is named “TV1HELLAS”.
