HISTORYThis event is at the Hastings Picture Theatre. The pageboy on the right-hand side is Ian Ross. The girl seated on the left-hand side is the daughter of C. Malouf.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a group of twenty-four men, women and children standing and sitting in a theatre. The women are dressed in long formal dressed with crowns on their heads and large bouquets of flowers. The woman at the centre of the group is holding a sceptre. One man is dressed as a judge, another is in a suit and the remainder of the men are dressed as ministers of the church. A pageboy is holding a cushion on the far right-hand side. Large palm fronds are standing behind the group as well on the floor at the front. Large curtains are at the back and sides of the theatre.
