HISTORY

These images show the construction of Pelican Park Recreation Centre on the foreshore of Hastings. Construction commenced in 2002 and the centre was opened on December 6, 2003. This replaced the old Hastings Swimming Pool which was erected in 1938.

DESCRIPTION

This group of four images show a building site. A skate/bike ramp is in the foreground and the steel frame of a large building is close by. The masts of boats can be seen behind the building. A large section of grass is in the foreground.
