HISTORYThis is the Hastings Infant Welfare and Pre-School Centre in Salmon Street, Hastings. This centre commenced in 1946 at the Hastings Hall. This building opened in 1952.
DESCRIPTIONThis brick house has the words ‘Infant Welfare Centre’ mounted on top of the entrance. The house has a tiled roof and three sets of windows are across the front. A metal frame is standing in the front yard. The fence is brick and chain wire. A curved path leads up to the front of the building. A sign stands on the lawn which reads: “Hastings Pre-School Centre Open Mon-Fri 9.30am - 11.45am Monday - Thurs 1pm - 3.30pm”.
