HISTORY

This plaque to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the State of Victoria was unveiled by the Shire President, Cr. Vincent Booth in November, 1984. It is on the foreshore at Hastings.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows two metal plaques attached to a stone. The top rectangular plaque reads: ‘Hastings Foreshore Tree Planting’. The square plaque below reads: ‘Victoria 150 growing together 1984-5 This project marks the 150th Anniversary of the State of Victoria, commemorated in 1984-5. Unveiled by Cr. Vincent Booth Shire President November, 1984.”.
