HISTORYThis library is situated in the old Bakery on the corner of Pike and Salmon Streets, Hastings. It was used as a library for a short time. It is situated on the same site as the present day library. The man is Tom Holland who was the Storeman at the Hastings Shire Council.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a man looking at books in a library. He is dressed in a three piece suit, white shirt and tie. He is selecting a book from the top shelf. Books line two walls and a door is on the far right. A table and two cane chairs are in the centre of the room and a display stand with books on either side, is in the foreground. The following signs appear on the walls: “Adult Fiction: Fiction: Non Fiction”.
