HISTORYThe President and members of the Shire Council of Hastings visited the refinery on February 24, 1964 with Mr. C.E. Clark, general Manager of B.P. Refinery (Western Port) Proprietary Limited. This section of the refinery is the distillation area. The men in the group are as follows: left to right”: L.A. Walker, Secretary Hastings Shire Council, R. Page, Hotel Prop of Hastings, G.D. Gorrie, President Hastings Shire Council, C.E. Clark, General Manager B.P. Refinery (Western Port), J.T. Riley, Engineer, Hastings Shire Council, D. Thompson, member Hastings Shire Council & President of Western Port Development Committee, E.R.J. Oddie and I.T. McKenzie of B.P. Refinery (Kwinana). The photographers details are stamped on the back.
