HISTORY

This aerial photograph shows the Port area at Hastings before construction began by the Lands Department.

DESCRIPTION

This aerial photograph shows a town in the top left-hand corner of the image. A coastline can be seen at the top of the image and small and large paddocks cover the remainder of the image along with streets and roads. Camera details appear in white print on a border down the right-hand side. A piece of white paper with the following typed in black is glued to the top: “Photographs from the air of Port area before construction began - by Lands Dept.
