HISTORY

This road construction is at Daws Hill on the Frankston-Flinders Road at Somerville, north of Eramosa Road in the mid 1960’s.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a road under construction. Three road-making machines can be seen on the road along with two motor cars. Dust is rising from the road and tall trees are on either side of the road. A grassed paddock is on the right-hand side and a steep bank is on the left. The following is typed in black on a piece of white paper and glued to the bottom of the photograph: “Daws Hill, Frankston - Flinders Rd Somerville - North of Eramosa Rd mid 1960’s”.
