HISTORY

These bridge works are on the Frankston-Flinders Road at Warringine Creek at Balnarring Beach on the Mornington Peninsula. The man on the bridge in the white shirt is Bob Hooper.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a road crossing under construction. Three culverts run under the road. The sides of the bridge are partly constructed. A small motor pump, planks of wood and piles of dirt are lying in the creek bed. One man is working on the bridge and two men are standing on the road. Three motor cars and a truck are parked on the road. Trees line both sides of the road. The following is typed in black on a piece of white paper and glued to the top left-hand corner of the photograph: “Warringine Creek Bridge work on Frankston-Flinders Rd.”.
