HISTORYThese road works are on the Morning Peninsula. The photograph comes from the J.T. Riley Collection. He was the Hastings Shire Engineer from 1961 to 1988.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a grader working on a dirt road. The number place is BYI-225. Another road machine is following the grader. A motor vehicle is in the distance, going in the opposite direction. Two electricity poles are on the right-hand side of the road. Trees line both sides of the road. The following is typed in black on a piece of white paper and glued to the bottom left-hand corner of the photograph: “More road works & machinery.”.
