HISTORY

These road works are on the Morning Peninsula. The photograph comes from the J.T. Riley Collection. He was the Hastings Shire Engineer from 1961 to 1988.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a grader working on a dirt road. The number place is BYI-225. Another road machine is following the grader. A motor vehicle is in the distance, going in the opposite direction. Two electricity poles are on the right-hand side of the road. Trees line both sides of the road. The following is typed in black on a piece of white paper and glued to the bottom left-hand corner of the photograph: “More road works & machinery.”.
