HISTORY

This is the 1983 Surf Life Saving National Championships held at Clifton Beach, Tasmania. The next championships were scheduled to be held at Point Leo on the Western Port, Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Victoria took part in the 1983 championships and their flag can be seen in the photograph.

DESCRIPTION

These four images show a surf life saving competition. They show marching with flags on the beach, a high temporary spectator stand, a view of the beach with people, boats and shoreline and a view of the car park with tents and vans in the foreground.
