HISTORYThe men are Bill Patience, John Woolley and Doug Norton. The following is written in blue biro on the back of the photograph: “Bill Patience 3rd Billy Patience John Woolley Doug Norton. Billy financed the rebuilding Doug Norton is a carpenter & mate of Billy’s. Mick O’Keefe House remover provided the house float in order to move the shed over to behind old Bill Patience’s house in Skinner St, so repairs to foundation could take place. This was undertaken by P & H at Stony Point. Foreman Wolfgang ?”. The fishing shed, built in 1866, played an important part in the local fishing industry. When it was restored in 1988 it became a retail fish sales venue.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows three men posing for a photograph beside a newly restored building. The men are all smiling and the man on the right has his hand on his hat.
