HISTORYThis is the old C.F.A. building in King Street, Hastings. It was behind Alf Tallon’s premises which is now a car park and beside the driveway into Safeway car park, next door to the old Doctor’s Surgery. The Hastings Fire Brigade formed on 23/11/1942. Their first home was a small building on the foreshore, then at these premises in King Street, built in 1946. In 2002 they shifted to High Street.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows two fire trucks parked outside a C.F.A. building. The number on the truck on the right is: :”VL30F8”. Part of a tower can be seen on the far left-hand side.
