HISTORY

This is the old C.F.A. building in King Street, Hastings. It was behind Alf Tallon’s premises which is now a car park and beside the driveway into Safeway car park, next door to the old Doctor’s Surgery. The Hastings Fire Brigade formed on 23/11/1942. Their first home was a small building on the foreshore, then at these premises in King Street, built in 1946. In 2002 they shifted to High Street.

DESCRIPTION
