HISTORYSusannah Mills was the wife of Henry Mills of Tyabb. Henry died suddenly on February 11, 1907 aged 63 years. The following is typed on a piece of paper and glued to the back of the photograph: “Written on the back of photograph: From Mother To her Son and Daughter H. & S. Mills”. Also written in pencil is: ”Henry was husband of Susannah Mills”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows an elderly woman and a child posing for a studio photo. The woman is dressed in a long-sleeved high necked black dress with a small black hat. The child is wearing a long-sleeved dark coloured dress with a white smock over the top and leather lace-up boots. The child is standing in a chair. A basket of flowers is on the chair to the left of the child. The photographers details are printed across the bottom.
