HISTORY

The man behind the wheel of this Perrott & Co Butcher’s delivery truck is Bill Armstrong. He made meat deliveries for Perrott’s Butchers from the 1920s. The vehicle is most likely to be a Chevrolet. This photograph comes from the P. Perrott Collection.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a truck with “Perrott & Co Butchers” painted on the side. The truck has no door. The driver is sitting holding the wheel and smiling for the camera. The wheels have wooden spokes and a spare tyre is attached to the side of the truck beside the driver’s doorway. Trees can be seen in the background.
