HISTORY

This land is at Hastings and the island in the bay is Sandstone Island. B.P. Refinery at Crib Point can be seen in the top right-hand corner. This refinery was opened in 1966 and operated until 1985. The following is written on the back of the photo in blue biro: “View of B.P. - Crib Point Sandstone Island in background. Hastings”.

DESCRIPTION

This aerial view shows a large paddock of cleared land surrounded by trees, paddocks and a bay at the top of the image. An island sits in the bay and a large industrial site is in the far right-hand corner of the image.
