HISTORY

This view of Balnarring Beach is a copy of one of the Rose Series of Postcards that were taken on the Mornington Peninsula.

DESCRIPTION

This beach scene shows families sitting and playing on a wide sandy beach. The family in the foreground have a large striped umbrella and folding stools. Some people are playing cricket on the beach. Tall trees are at the top end of the bay and the view of the water stretches to the horizon. The following is printed across the bottom of the photo: “The Rose Series P.139454 Balnarring Beach, Via Hastings, Vic.”.
