HISTORY

This is the 40lb Armstrong Gun No. 272 being moved before restoration. A G.T.V.9 News camera man is taking a close shot of the Armstrong Insignia on the gun. Mark Brady (with papers) is talking to Terry Abbott. They are both from the Shire of Hastings which assisted with the project. Jim Harris, one of the men on the Gun Restoration Committee of the Hastings Historical Society is on the far left-hand side of the image. One image shows Walter Moseley and Terry Abbott flushing debri from the front shell. The man holding the projectile is Terry Abbott. Members of the army are in attendance for the projectile removal.

DESCRIPTION

These four images show a gun barrel being moved. Men and machinery and a camera man are in attendance. One man is holding up a projectile from the gun. A backhoe, shed and a pilot vehicle are one image.
