HISTORY

This is the Hastings Swimming Pool. Construction commenced on December 10, 1937 and was officially opened on November 19, 1938.

DESCRIPTION

This badly worn image shows a partly built swimming pool. Machinery, hoses, brooms etc are visible in the empty shell. A man is sitting beside the pool in front of a partly built construction. Three small buildings are on the right-hand side.
