HISTORY

This is the C.F.A. Station in King Street, Hastings. The Hastings Fire Brigade formed on November 23, 1942 and had a number of homes before being located at their present location in High Street. The following is printed on the back of the photograph: “The former Hastings Fire Brigade headquarters in King Street, Hastings. The brigade’s Headquarters were relocated to High Street near the intersection of Frankston/Flinders Road about 2000.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a C.F.A. building with two vehicles parked on the footpath. The door of the building is open. Two men are standing beside the vehicles. They are both dressed in fire brigade uniforms. A tall tower can be seen behind the truck.
