HISTORY

This young man is John (Jack) Barclay. He was born in 1883 and died in 1971. He never married. He was the son of John and Rosina Barclay (nee Grayden). For more information on the Barclay Family, see “Hastings-People and Places Vol. IV” by Hastings-Western Port Historical Society p. 51.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a full length portrait of a young man. He is wearing a black coat and vest and a lighter colour long trousers. A small pointed collar and a large knotted tie can be seen at his neck. He has one hand on his hip and the other is holding a black hat. The word ‘Barclay’ is written across the bottom right-hand corner of the image.
