HISTORY

This child is Doug Oliver with presumably his mother Mary Oliver. Doug is the only son of Mary and Frank Oliver. The following is stamped on the back of the photograph: Printed by Harringtons Velox 4 75”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a woman holding a small child, posing for a photograph. The woman is wearing an overcoat, head scarf and sunglasses. The child is wearing a jumper, white pants, socks and cap. They are standing on the deck of a ship. People can be seen on either side of the couple. A timber panelled wall is on the far right-hand side. A sign is attacher to the ship on the top left-hand sign that reads: “PASSENGERS Not Allowed ON BRIDGE”.
