HISTORYThis couple is Ashton and Beatrice Woolley. Ashton was born in 1883 in Bittern and died in 1944 at Crib Point. He was a railway engine driver at Crib Point. He is the son of Ashton and Cecilia Woolley. Ashton married Beatrice on 30/08/1905 in Fitzroy, Victoria. Beatrice was born on 18/03/1885 in Fitzroy and died on 06/11/1973 in Willsmere Hospital, Kew. Beatrice is the daughter of John and Eliza Smith (nee Walker). Ashton and Beatrice has the following four children: Hazel Rose (1906 - 1980); Albert (Bert) William (1911 - 1992); Ivy May (Nina) (1916 - 1990); Gwen (1921 - 1983).
