HISTORY

Previous names ‘Clifden’ and ‘Clyde villa’. Dr Michael Barry commissioned the house to be built in 1869, calling it ‘Clifden’ after his birthplace in Ireland. It was renamed ‘Garrycloyne’ (’dale of beautiful trees’) by the Townsend family c1901

DESCRIPTION

‘Garycloyne’ is a brick residence with a white weather board addition on left side an ornate wrought iron verandah and three brick two tone chimneys two tone detail at corners and window surrounds
