HISTORY

Owner Richard Shotton, J.P., who described himself as ‘a native of London and a freeman’ and arrived in the colony 1856, he was very active in the Mornington St Peter’s Church and Shotton Road on the south of the property is named after him, the home was built approximately 1879

A front view of ‘Ramslade’, which is of a triple fronted hipped and gabled house, verandah between two wings, one wing with slate roof, italianate style two chimneys, a rose garden and cypress trees
