Originally the Grand Coffee Palace c1889 later Hotel, the Grand Hotel succeeded the older Cricketers Arms Hotel which was located next door

DESCRIPTION

Front facade of the Grand Hotel a two storey building with tower, with Mansard French Renaissance revival rooves windows in the tower. Eight arched windows on top floor, a gabled pediment over its door, the basket arched windows either side of the door looked into the bar
