HISTORYThe first Mornington Post Office was opened in 1861 and this building was erected 1863-64, coinciding with the provision of the electric telegraph services in the town
DESCRIPTIONA front view of the painted brick Post Office building with a slate roof and corner wooden verandah or portico, the old styled weighing machine is situated out the front of the building on the Main Street side, the corrugated tin sheds used by the Post Office can be seen at the rear of the building
