HISTORYJames left his home in the parish of Harray in the Orkney Isles in 1846, through his travels he came to Melbourne, joined by his brother William and later his brother John, moving onto Baxter in 1857
Later their two sisters, Helen and Mary arrived in Australia, by this time their half brothers, Joseph and Isaac
were also in Australia
