HISTORY

The State School was opened in 1878

Mornington School No 2033 began its career under the headmastership of Richard Hutchinson, Miss Emma Downward was his female assistant and a pupil teacher, Stewart McRae, became a third member of the staff a month after the opening of No 2033

Taken at an angle, the brick building has noticeable renovations from that of 1878, image same as 714
