HISTORY

In 1888, ‘Morven’ was commissioned to be built in Tanti Avenue for Archibald Cook, owner of the Victoria Ferry Service, Yarra River in Melbourne
This was for his son, William Sym Cook as a gift at his marriage to Ella Louise Allchin of ‘Sutton Grange’
In 1970, ‘Morven’ was purchased by Mr and Mrs Thomas Telford, the new owners renamed their property,
‘Morven Manor’ and established a catering business for dinner parties and receptions
As at 2009 ‘Morven Manor’ is a Retirement Home
