HISTORY

The Hon J.E. Fenton left Australia by boat in late 1929 to attend the Naval Conference. The caricature was drawn by a well known cartoonist of the day known as Wells.

DESCRIPTION

Black and white caricature of the Hon J. E. Fenton depicted riding a kangaroo (with joey) going up the gang plank of a liner (lifeboat in the background). He has a sheep, koala, possum and kookaburra on his shoulders and holding his hat in his right hand.
