HISTORY

This building is the garage that Ray and Clyde owned and ran and was located on the corner of Main and Empire Streets, Mornington. There appears to be a car rally happening on this particular day with two of the entrants in the race filling up their cars outside the Wells Garage.

DESCRIPTION

Brick building with the words Sales & Service over the front entrance. There are two cars (jalopies) parked out the front. One has the number 9 written on its car door and the other has the number 20. Both cars are filling up their tanks at the petrol pumps situated outside the garage. There is a man wearing a three piece suit with hat walking towards the camera (situated between the two cars.
