HISTORYThe line from Frankston to Mornington was opened on the 10.9,1889, with a station at Langwarrin. There were several little stations along the route. These stations were sometimes just an earthen mound, or a flat piece of ground alongside the track where the driver would stop for people waiting and set them down at request. There were 3 small stops between Moorooduc and Mornington.
The K163 was a steam engine which ran on coal.
A black iron railway train engine, with a letter and numbers on the front “K163”. The body of the engine is black, with a red bar at the base painted with white lettering on a black background.
