HISTORY

“Alberton” is an Edwardian residence set in 1/2 acre of glorious gardens and located just 250m to Main Street and the boat harbour. It retained the charm and character of its era. The house was formerly called “Arran” and the home of J.G.Barrett who was Shire President, and on the Council five time. He was also a Director of the butter factory. He was instrumental in the development of the Bush Hospital as he provided the land at a reasonable cost. An auction took place at 2pm on the 31st March 1996.
