HISTORY

The semi-trailer bus used to transport 100 passengers per trip during the American era and beyond to Frankston around 1949. The Americans were billeted at Balcombe Army Camp.

DESCRIPTION

The photograph shows a single storey weather board building. There is a petrol bowser at the front, and a semi-trailer bus in front of the building. On the left side of the building is a telephone box ,and a wooden fence, with a light pole. At the bottom left it is printed “The Kiosk, Mount Martha”. There are trees in the background.
