HISTORYThe semi-trailer bus used to transport 100 passengers per trip during the American era and beyond to Frankston around 1949. The Americans were billeted at Balcombe Army Camp.
DESCRIPTIONThe photograph shows a single storey weather board building. There is a petrol bowser at the front, and a semi-trailer bus in front of the building. On the left side of the building is a telephone box ,and a wooden fence, with a light pole. At the bottom left it is printed “The Kiosk, Mount Martha”. There are trees in the background.
