HISTORY

Sea bathing in specially erected structures built over the water enjoyed a heyday of popularity in the late 1800’s and earlynd the Pier offered facilities of dressing rooms and diving boards. They continued to be used by large num 1900’s. The Baths, which were built at the base of a cliff between Shire Hall Beach abers of people up to and beyond the time of World War 2.

DESCRIPTION

This photograph shows a view of the Mornington Baths. There are two little girls walking along the waters edge. On the right there are two women sitting on the beach.
