HISTORYFoxey’s Hangout is at the corner of TubbaRubba Road and Balnarring Road. It has a long history related to displaying the bodies of dead foxes, there being competition for numbers killed. This photograph is significant especially for the extra sign welcoming Queen Elizabeth II on the Royal Tour in 1954.
DESCRIPTIONA substantial tree in a flat landscape with several objects attached to the tree. there are 4 dead foxes hanging from a branch on the left. Three signs are attached to the main trunks One says ”EIIR Welcome”, another “Foxeys Hangout” and underneath it “TubbaRubba Road”. Sundry other unidentifiable objects are also attached.
