Large dead tree on grassed triangle. Major sealed road on right (Balnarring Road) at its junction with TubbaRubba Road. A simple wooden sign at base of the tree identifies the corner as Foxey’s Hangout. There are healthy trees to either side of the main road.

HISTORY

Another recent photograph of the dead tree from which the carcasses of trapped foxes were displayed as trophies and tallied for the purpose of a competition between Jack Johnson and Lou Connell in the 1930s and 40s.
