HISTORY

Competitions between regional Fire Brigades were held regularly over many years and rotated annually around the various towns. When in Mornington they were held in Mornington Park where there is a training track and water tower. This series of photographs was probably taken in the post war years.

DESCRIPTION

A platform with trestle tables at the front is covered by a tarpaulin. Several men in shirtsleeves and ties are behind the tables and a shield with a metal trophy beside it. Several onlookers are standing in front and there are trees behind the stand.
