HISTORY

The Mornington Library was originally owned and operated by two women but eventually became part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire Library. It was first housed in part of the RSL Memorial Hall beside the Mechanics Institute which by then housed the Mornington Shire Office. The Municipal Library now shares a purpose-built building with Shire Offices.
