HISTORYThe Mornington Library was originally owned and operated by two women but eventually became part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire Library. It was first housed in part of the RSL Memorial Hall beside the Mechanics Institute which by then housed the Mornington Shire Office. The Municipal Library now shares a purpose-built building with Shire Offices.
DESCRIPTIONSingle storied shop front between a restored older building and a modern glass fronted double storied shop/office building. A rectangular canopy carries the sign MORNINGTON LIBRARY. A pedestrian walks in front of the building. The footpath contains signs for Car Parking and a Bus stop.
